Notice of Public Meeting - Amendment of Fees and Charges Bylaw 2023-109

TAKE NOTICE that the Township of Muskoka Lakes Planning Committee will hold a public meeting on the 13th day of February 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in Council Chambers at the Municipal Office at 1 Bailey Street in Port Carling in order to consider proposed additional fees, in accordance with Section 7 of the Building Code Act.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT – The Township of Muskoka Lakes is proposing to amend the Township’s Fees and Charges Bylaw to reflect the annual adjustment of the fees associated with the Sewage System Maintenance Inspection Program.

The modified fee structure will include a $5 increase to 3 of the 4 different fees charged to property owners who require a Phase II Sewage System Maintenance Inspection in accordance with approved policy.  Additionally, a Remedial Documents Review fee is included in the Fees and Charges Bylaw amendment.

ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting virtually and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed fees.
