Media Release - Township Service Updates for Covid-19 Grey-Lockdown Zone
MUSKOKA LAKES – In response to the Province’s decision to place the Simcoe-Muskoka District Health Unit into the Grey-Lockdown Zone effective Monday, March 1, 2021, the Port Carling Arena and select Community Centres will be closing effective immediately and remain closed until further notice. Those impacted by cancellations and closures will be contacted directly. All refunds will be honoured.
In addition, the Township of Muskoka Lakes will continue to accept and release building permits for construction sites within the Township. Outside pick up will continue to be available at the Public Libraries. Other Township facilities, including the Municipal Office, Bala Arena, Fire Halls and Public Works Yards will remain closed to the public. Township services continue to be offered online through the Township website, email and over the phone where possible.
The Township will continually update the Muskoka Lakes Website with any changes to Township services as a result of Covid-19.
The Township of Muskoka Lakes is working closely with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit and other community partners to monitor the global situation regarding Covid-19, and to respond accordingly.
