Canadian Union of Postal Workers Strike Impacting Township of Muskoka Lakes
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) began a national strike on Friday, November 15 at 12:01 a.m. ET.
Canada Post has said that mail and parcels will not be processed or delivered for the duration of the national strike, some post offices will be closed, and no new items will be accepted until the national disruption is over.
As a result of this strike, some Township of Muskoka Lakes services and programs may be affected, including the processing of planning applications requiring circulation, or property tax payments. We will continue to monitor the situation and are committed to minimizing any disruptions to residents and businesses. If you have any questions, please call the Township Office at 705-765-3156.
