Public Notice of Muskoka Compliance Audit Committee Meeting

PUBLIC NOTICE OF MUSKOKA COMPLIANCE AUDIT COMMITTEE MEETING

NOTICE is hereby given to the public that, as a result of compliance audit applications being received by the Clerk of the Township of Muskoka Lakes, the Muskoka Compliance Audit Committee will be meeting on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 9:00 am, in the Council Chambers, Municipal Office, 1  Bailey Street, Port Carling, Ontario.

Pursuant to section 88.33(7) of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, within 30 days after the compliance audit committee has received the application, the committee shall consider the application and decide whether it should be granted or rejected. 

As such, at the meeting, the Muskoka Compliance Audit Committee will consider the applications with respect to the 2018 election campaign finances of the candidates and the registered third parties listed below.  The Committee will decide whether the applications should be granted or rejected.  The Muskoka Compliance Audit Committee Administrative Practices and Procedures for the 2018-2022 Term of Council can be found at www.muskokalakes.ca.

The applications as submitted and to be considered at the meeting are with respect to the following:

  •           Registered Third Party – Friends of Muskoka
  •           Registered Third Party – Muskoka Lakes Association
  •           Candidate - Phil Harding – Office of Mayor
  •           Candidate – Frank Jaglowitz – Office of District and Township Councillor (Ward C/3)
