Public Wi-Fi Connectivity Project at Community Centres

MUSKOKA LAKES – Public Wi-Fi is now available at the phase 1 community centre facilities in the Township of Muskoka Lakes.

Township of Muskoka Lakes Council, through the 2016 budget process, approved phase 1 of a Wi-Fi Connectivity Project at Community Centres and Fire Stations.  This initiative is linked to strategic priority areas included in the Township’s 2015-2018 Strategic Plan.  Phase 1 of the community centre public Wi-Fi sites include; Bala, Foot’s Bay, Milford Bay, Peninsula, Ullswater, and Walker’s Point.  Phase 2 of this project will be considered through the 2017 budget process.  If approved, phase 2 will be undertaken in 2017.

The community centre sites listed above provide free public Wi-Fi connectivity to the user.  This service includes a security waiver being accepted by the user that provides terms and conditions of acceptable use and securities.  

This service addresses community needs, increases connectivity, improves the user experience and provides the ability for enhanced programs at the Township facilities.
