2018 Municipal Election

Are you on the list to vote for the upcoming municipal election?

If you are an Ontario resident over the age of 18 you can visit voterlookup.ca to confirm or update your information in a few easy steps. You can also change your school support for electoral purposes and add names to your property address.

Updating this information will help to ensure that municipal Voters’ Lists are accurate and up-to-date in preparation for municipal and school board elections occurring this October.

The next municipal election will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 for the 2018-2022 term of office.


Nomination period will commence on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 and closes at 2:00 p.m. on Nomination Day, Friday, July 27, 2018.


New for 2018 - The Township has approved the use of Internet and Telephone Voting only for the 2018 municipal election.  Eligible electors will be able to vote in advance of Voting Day electronically by using a telephone, computer, cell phone, iPad, tablet or laptop.  This is an accessible, environmentally-friendly and convenient method of alternative voting providing electors with the flexibility of voting from anywhere.

As with previous elections, voters will be able to attend the municipal office and cast their vote if assistance is required.  Specific dates of when votes can be cast will be determined in the near future.

Please note that vote by mail will not occur in the 2018 municipal election.
